This course will teach you everything you need to know about OCD and how to treat it using Exposure and Response Prevention (ExRP), the gold-standard treatment for OCD. You will learn about OCD’s core features, how to properly and accurately assess and diagnose, as well as how to conceptualize individual cases and actually implement all treatment components effectively. All of this information is provided in an easy to follow format with many examples to apply the discussed concepts. MODULE 1

This module explains, in-depth, the CBT model of OCD, highlighting the relationship between obsessions, cognitions, and behaviors. It reviews the DSM-V diagnostic criteria for OCD and explains in detail what obsessions and compulsions are. All of this is then combined to understand the varied OCD subtypes unique to this disorder. This module is crucial in setting the stage for a proper understanding of ExRP.

Lesson 1: Understanding Anxiety

Lesson 2: OCD Overview

This lesson applies the CBT model of anxiety to OCD specifically. A detailed explanation of obsessions and compulsions is provided. Also reviewed are course, prevalence, comorbidity and the etiology of OCD.
