Q: Will my insurance cover tele-mental health services?
A: It varies by plan.
Medicare: At this time we know that the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) have waived restrictions on coverage for tele-health services for Medicare participants in light of the global pandemic. Medicare patients are eligible to receive tele-mental health services without authorization.
Aetna: Aetna covers tele-mental health for all COMMERCIAL plans. If your plan is self-funded you may or may not have tele-health coverage. Calling your insurance company is the only way to be certain that this service is covered. We have developed a form to guide you in that process here.
Meritain/ Coventry/ Continental: This varies by plan. Calling your insurance company is the only way to be certain that this service is covered. We have developed a form to guide you in that process here.

Q: How do I access tele-mental health services?
A: Each of our providers has their own tele-mental health platform via Doxy.me. This platform is HIPAA compliant and secure. We also have a back up platform should we encounter any technical difficulties during our sessions and your provider can share that information with you if necessary. Q: If my plan does not cover tele-mental health services what are my options?
A: Please contact your therapist and we will try to work with you.
