Amanda Furey, MSW, LCSW
Amanda is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in New Jersey. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Arcadia University and later earned a Master of Social Work from Widener University. She has also taken the required courses needed to obtain a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor at Camden County College.
Amanda has a decade of experience in inpatient psychiatry as both a Mental Health Technician and Clinical Social Worker. In inpatient psychiatry Amanda has has served adults with chronic mental health conditions including psychotic and mood disorders, depression, anxiety, and addictions. She has also worked with the families of those individuals in order to coordinate care and support for the client.
Amanda utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, and Solution Focused treatment methods tailored to the individual in order to treat the person as a whole.
