Danielle Dorsey,

BA

Danielle is a student counselor currently pursuing her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Saint Joseph’s University. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice, with a minor in Psychology, from La Salle University. Her academic and professional background has strengthened her understanding of the connection between mental health, trauma, behavior, and the systems that impact individuals and families.

Through her internship at The Artemis Center for Guidance, Danielle works with individuals across the lifespan and from a variety of cultural and personal backgrounds. She is passionate about helping clients feel understood, supported, and empowered as they navigate life’s challenges. Danielle has a special interest in working with anxiety, depression, trauma-related concerns, life transitions, and maternal mental health.

Danielle approaches therapy with warmth, empathy, and a person-centered perspective, recognizing the importance of creating a safe and collaborative therapeutic environment where clients can explore their experiences without judgment. She values building strong therapeutic relationships and believes meaningful change happens when clients feel genuinely seen and supported.

Danielle is currently receiving training in Exposure Therapy and is continuing to expand her knowledge in evidence-based approaches for anxiety and trauma-related disorders. In the future, she hopes to pursue advanced training and certification in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to further support clients in building resilience, emotional regulation skills, and healing from difficult life experiences.

“My goal is to offer a warm, safe environment for you to express yourself authentically. Through a collaborative relationship, you can work toward positive change and healing, and I will provide supportive guidance. I want to empower you to improve your mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being.”
