Eric is currently a student at Rowan University in the Masters of Clinical Mental Health Counseling program. They have a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a minor in Women and Gender Studies. They have previously worked as a case manager for individuals with psychotic spectrum disorders and severe persistent mental health issues. While going into the field of therapy has been a long-term goal for Eric, the experiences earned during their bachelor’s degree and previous work helped develop their skills and understand the mental health field at a deeper level. It was with this understanding that they chose to pursue their degree.

 

During their time with Artemis Center for Guidance, Eric will be trained in Exposure Therapy and further develop their therapeutic skills. In the future they hope to have a focus working with neurodivergent and gender non-conforming populations. As well as one day be trained as a sexual health educator. Their goal as a clinician is to have an inviting and honest therapeutic space where clients feel as comfortable to share joy as delve into difficult topics.
